Dr Tim Low is an Orthopaedic and Sports Doctor having joined Central West Specialists in 2014. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle in 2010. Subsequently he completed his Internship and Residency at Orange Health Service and then went on to complete his GP training with practices in Orange and Molong. He then completed a Masters of Sports Medicine from the University of Queensland to become a Sports Doctor and is a Feloow of Sports Doctor Australia.

Dr Low has always been obsessed with all sports and has played several different sports his whole life. In 2004 he suffered a serious knee injury requiring 3 operations which restricted his sporting pursuits for some time. From this experience Dr Low developed an interest in medicine and fortunately he has been able to combine his interest in medicine with his love of sport in the field of Sports Medicine. As well as this knee injury Dr Low has experienced several other injuries through sport and understands the frustration that injuries play in stopping or impairing performance of the individual in their chosen sport, the workplace and day to day life.

Dr Low is originally from West Wyalong growing up on the family farm and lived in Orange from 1994-96 where he attended Kinross Wolaroi School. Before studying medicine he completed a Bachelor of Resource Economics at the University of Sydney. He has been living back in Orange since the start of 2011. Dr Low’s wife has her own Human Resources business in Orange and they have 3 young children.

His other interests include playing sport. He has played most sports including rugby union, rugby league, AFL, soccer, touch football, cricket, tennis, basketball and golf. He currently plays cricket for the Millthorpe Cricket Club and social tennis and golf. Most of his other time is spent chasing after (or getting chased!) by his 3 young children and trying to catch up on some sleep!
